Smartwatches

Truck drivers wear smartwatches that monitor various health metrics such as heart rate, sleep patterns, activity levels, and stress levels. These devices can also track location using GPS.

Driver Fatigue and Safety Alerts

Some smartwatches have sensors that can monitor signs of driver fatigue, like changes in heart rate variability or sudden movements. They can send alerts to the driver to take a break.

Time Management and Compliance

In Canada, truck drivers are subject to strict hours-of-service regulations. Smartwatches can help drivers track their driving time and rest periods to ensure they comply with regulations.

Physiological Sensors

Wearable devices like smartwatches and fitness trackers can monitor physiological signals such as heart rate, blood pressure, and electrodermal activity (sweat gland activity). These signals can indicate stress levels.

Calorie Tracking

Estimate your daily calorie burn, helping you manage your diet and fitness goals more effectively.

Convenience

Features like PrePass notifications for upcoming weigh stations and access to loyalty programs from truck plazas save time and simplify the over-the-road lifestyl

Data Collection

The smartwatches collect real-time data on the drivers' health and location. This data is then transmitted to a central system.
